1 - Cassia senna ?
Shrub with pinnated greyish leaves. And numerous yellow Fl. Grown
in cities. THis sp. used to be grown for the laxative effects of
a decoction of its leaves.
2 - "Arbre de la Paresse" Sophora
japonica. In Bellapais there is a legend-tree. People sitting under
it shade are supposed to turn lazy. No problem during winter, because
it is not warm enought to beg for any shade and there is no leaves
on the tree. But some strange fleshy, multifid and transparent pod
remain.
3 - Climbing Bean
"Hyacinth
Bean" Dolichos lablab found Nicosia; pods are said to be edible
when young and green; I'm not sure about dried beans; I didn't see
any on the market; but it is commonly grown in gardens.
