Choux de St Hilarion

Choux de St Hilarion

Leaves Rosette, St Hilarion Castle        Some flowers on the lower left corner.

St Hilarion Cabbage is endemic to Northern Cyprus. You can find it in rocks and walls in the Pentadactylon range. It is very common around St Hilarion Castle. If not a beauty, it is not ugly for a cabbage. It's a shrubby perennial making rosettes of greyish leaves, reddish when young. Its flowers are white, quite big, while most cabbages have yellow small Fl. Because of possible genetic properties seeds of this plant were collected by horticultural companies. Leaves rosettes. St Hilarion. Fl. and rosette + stems from previous year. St Hilarion.
