Ophrys lutea x1

About
fifteen species or subspecies of Ophrys are growing in Northern
Cyprus. Only one is endemic. By the end of March, I only found four
different types in hot stations on south-exposed slopes of the Pentadactylon.
Goats and sheeps are browsing everywhere, so such plants often benefit
from the protection of spiny subshrubs like Sarcopoterium. Comparing
to Ophrys sp. I was used to find in the French Alps I found Cyprian
plants quite small, non being bigger than 20 cm.
